NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

You are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held at the Springville City Hall located at 304 Broadway, Springville, Iowa 52336 before the City Council on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 6:00 P.M. regarding the voluntary annexation request from the City of Springville for property locally known as 250 5th St., Springville, Iowa 52336 and legally described as,

That part of the S 1/2 SW 1/4 of Sec. 28, Township 84 N, Range 5 W of the 5th P.M., Linn County, Iowa, described as follows:

Commencing at the Southwest Corner of Section 28, Township 84 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M., Linn County, Iowa; Thence N 02°10’39” W along the West line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 28 to the Point of Beginning a distance of 1094.45 feet; Thence continuing N 02°10’39” W along said West line of the Southwest Quarter to the South Right of Way of the Exterior Ally of the Original Town of Springville, Iowa a distance of 159.51 feet; Thence N 59°12’00” E along said South Right of Way to the North line of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 28 a distance of 125.08 feet; Thence N 88°14’22” E along said North line of the South 1/2 to a West line of Lot 1, Lensing First Addition to Linn County, Iowa a distance of 523.25 feet; Thence S 01°22’39” E along said a West line of Lot 1 to a North line of said Lot 1 a distance of 181.86 feet; Thence S 84°45’21” W along said a North line of Lot 1 to the Point of Beginning a distance of 631.40 feet.

All interested persons may review the annexation request, including the legal description and map showing the location of the property to be annexed, and file their comments in writing with the City Clerk at or before the hearing and/or may appear in person at the hearing.
